Sean O’Donnell Becomes Second Scholarship Winner To Earn License … On Opening Day Of AirVenture!

OSHKOSH, WI July 2007

Four of Able Flight’s first six scholarship winners, their instructors and a number of sponsors, supporters, family, friends and guests were on hand Friday July 27th in  AeroShell Square at EAA AirVenture 2007 as Able Flight marked its first year as the nation’s only nonprofit offering flight training scholarships for people with disabilities. The emphasis of the day was on the accomplishments of the scholarship winners and their flight instructors. EAA Vice-President Bob Warner welcomed the crowd, and recalled that just one year had passed since Able Flight was officially announced at AirVenture 2006, Warner then presented their official scholarship award letters to Jorge Urrea of Atlanta and Sean O’Donnell of Philadelphia before turning the ceremony over to Able Flight Executive Director Charles Stites.
